12:33 am	Catharsis It's been yonks. This is to sort of celebrate my completion of this trimester's teaching. I won't be teaching next trimester. The thought of teaching 60+ students Flash CS4, aka a bag of temperamental shit, was too much. Good riddance, I say! Clicky for bigger. I had to split it into two pieces cos of sizing issues. 12:40 am	Teh Win! Hiya funsters! Firstly, my thanks for the win on last month's SNARC contest: Snape's Winter Adventures, at snapedom. This means I'm the lucky one to set this month's challenge, which I have decided will be: Everyone has a guilty pleasure - something that they indulge in that others might deem frivolous or just downright crazy. Draw a picture of what you think our normally dour and abstemious Potions Master might partake in as a guilty pleasure. It might be a particular food, a Muggle luxury, or a trashy romance novel. Remember to keep it clean, so no porn! Make it fun, make it kooky, make it unexpected. You've got until the last day of the month to submit your ideas. Ideally, ArtPad's the way to go, but I understand that the rule on that has been relaxed to include any digital drawing software. sylvanawood  may have to correct me on this! And the prize for the winner: a 'World's #1 Potions Master' mug donated by me and shipped to your location. 11:33 pm	Knock Yourself Out, snokat I feel an unexpectedly strong need to explain a few things here: 1. This was at the request of snokat  who, if memory serves (and it may well not), asked for Snape asleep and specifically for the Dark Mark to be apparent. 2. I know there are many OOC things here that will outrage some fans. Yes, I know he's not scrawny/angular/ugly enough! 3. I had not intended for him to look so AR, but that's just how the sketch turned out. Nothing to do with the unbreakable linkage in my mind between these two identities. Nothing. *snort* 4. The tattoo in the hollow of his hip is not an original idea. I do freely admit seeing it elsewhere, and again if my peanut brain is not too addled, it was eldivinomarques who had given Snape a snake tattoo there. I changed it to the Rod of Asclepius. If you don't know what it is, wiki it. I chose it for a particular reason that I choose not to go into here. 5. I could fiddle about with this thing endlessly, so I had to put my foot down and say 'that's it!' Hurhur... fiddle! Yes. Hmmm. ( Grey Nightshirt, My Ass! ) This is not to say I didn't enjoy doing this. That's the problem. I enjoyed it too much, hahahaha! 4:45 pm	Halloween I had thought initially to do a one-frame for Halloween, then I thought I'd make it double up as my picture to celebrate having had 3,000 DA page views (which occurred whilst I was overseas) and since I've gotten so bloody behind on everything drawing related, it was apt that I post this a day late for Halloween. For those not well-aquainted with Red Dwarf, you might have no idea why I'm dressed the way I am, or who Mr Flibble and the King of the Potato People are. This you tube link may help. 4:14 pm	Sort Muse #9 Mail sorting leaves plenty of time for thought.  Or at least potentially.  It's all too easy to slip into a grey mental coma, but I try and keep mentally alert.  Since my headphones decided to shit themselves I couldn't listen to my podlectures (he was talking about pressure gradients in the systemic and pulmonary systems which I was having a tough time with anyway!).  A conversation between myself and one of the other sorters arose about how we couldn't understand how people put up with shit from others.  "Karma," says B sagely, while ripping out an application form from an envelope, making it look like it's gone ten rounds with a rabid cat.  "We don't put up with any nonsense cos we were kings in a former life." Hmm, thinks Ann, liking the sound of that.  I'd look great in a crown. On the downside, someone in one of the other sections opened an envelope that had a used condom in it.  Screaming and flailing of hands ensued. Current Mood: apathetic (Comment on this)
